If you had a time machine, would you go back and change things? I don’t think I would… simply because I now love myself so very, very much and definitely more than I did when I was younger and I am here today because of my experiences. I will be honest, sometimes I really questions why I have been through some of the shit I have been through. The only answer I can come up with is that I must have been given two choices and I simply chose the harder path until I decided to stop choosing the harder path. Your value does not depend on how hard your life is. Yes, you should work hard but it shouldn’t BE HARD. This outdated concept of if I haven’t suffered, or felt difficulty… I (or it) must not be worthy.
Well, I have suffered and it has been difficult yet my worth didn’t change and I still found myself looking around for the next difficulty to overcome so that I may finally arrive and feel worthy… where ever that may be. The thing is I have been worthy all along, I came into this world worthy of all the that I might desire. I now choose to take control over my happiness and stop putting it in the hands of what happens in life. Life is not happening to us but is happening through us. The more I feel my most authentic self, the more I own my own power, the more I believe in myself as that beautiful, capable, empowered being that I am, the more I feel like this beautiful life is mine. It’s not something I need to suffer for, it’s a blessing. The less resistance I give to my authentic self, the happier I am. The happier I am, the more I make decision in favour of my happiness because I become attuned to this vibration.
An open letter to my younger self:
Life happens through you and not to you. The energy and light that runs through you is your power, claim it. Know that you are worth so much more that you feel. Be reminded that you have the power to influence the outcome of your life but it is a conversation that depends on you being there. Stand tall and take in the power of the sun, raise up and be your unapologetic authentic beautiful self as you are a powerful, capable and confident being. You hold all that you already need to live this divine life that is rightfully yours. You are loved, you are valued, I see you. May you come to understand and see your power that has always been yours.
What does this have to do with our Chakra’s? The Solar Plexus Chakra otherwise known as Manipura which translates to city of jewels is the human epicentre of our personal power, self-esteem, ego, will, authenticity, confidence and capability. The Solar Plexus Chakra is two fingers above your belly button, at your diaphragm. It is the I DO chakra! It is the energy centre of your personal power and confidence. You can connect to your power as you wish, it is a flow of energy within you and not a concept. Power is the key to peace and you already hold that power. The Solar Plexus visualisation is a practice that will nurture a stronger your connection to this chakra and the more you nurture this connection the stronger your power energy will stand with in you. In this visualisation you will raise the power house of your energy field. The colour it is associated with is yellow and we draw on the energy of the sun.
